Bulliard Lands a Spot on Acadiana’s Top 50 List
With $10 million in revenue for 2015, Bulliard Construction took the No. 47 spot on Acadiana’s Top 50 Private Companies list. Published by Acadiana Business magazine, the list annually ranks the top private companies in the region by revenue. This was Bulliard’s first time to be included, and the company looks forward to moving up the ranks in years to come.
President Tom Bulliard was interviewed in the publication about the state of his company, its financial performance, and the most pressing issues relating to profitability and growth. He said 2015 was an average year for Bulliard, with the downturn in the oil and gas industry having an effect on the business. He cited a lack of skilled workers as the company’s biggest challenge going forward, but on a positive note credited repeat customers and keeping an eye on the bottom line is helping to keep the company profitable since its founding in 1984.
Bulliard did have some notable projects in 2016, including the Atchafalaya Welcome Center, McIlhenny/Tabasco Visitors Center, renovation of the Lafayette Parish Courthouse, and Magnolia Elementary in New Iberia—representing the largest project to date for the company.
